In-Network Translation
In-network translation means that the transformation of the document
to and from the format supported by your business systems is performed
within the Clearbridge network. You do not need to purchase, maintain,
and operate your own translation software. Clearbridge implementation
services perform all mapping, testing, and on-going operations --
freeing you of the burden of this often tedious and costly aspect
of trade partner integration.
Clearbridge has built its own 100% Java translation engine that
supports EDI, XML, and flat files. With in-network translation you
benefit from Clearbridge's on-going development efforts, scalable
hardware and software systems, and dedicated system administration
staff.
Routing
Routing of your transactions to/from your trade partners is performed
by the transaction management services of the Clearbridge network.
Part of Clearbridge's 100% Java transaction management platform
is a database of your trade partners, supported transaction sets,
and the associated delivery mechanisms. When a transaction is initiated
by either party the Clearbridge network identifies the trade partner
/ transaction set pair and applies the appropriate translation and
routing procedures.
The benefit to customers is a single network to support any trade
partner, using any document format or API, and any delivery technology.
There is no need to purchase and maintain complicated and costly
integration software; the Clearbridge solution takes care of all
these issues for you.
Delivery
Document Delivery can be performed by a variety of mechanisms
depending on the preference of your trade partners. Clearbridge
maintains gateways to other value added networks (VANs) as well
as the Internet. This means that with one Clearbridge DxN account
you can exchange documents with any trade partner, regardless of
which network connection they prefer.
Because the vast majority of existing trade partner relationships
rely on EDI and various value added networks, Clearbridge maintains
a gateway to all of the major VANs. In doing so, we ensure that
if your trade partners are currently conducting EDI transactions
you will be able to quickly and easily integrate with their systems
using the Clearbridge DxN.
Clearbridge also provides advanced Internet capabilities that will
ensure that your business is prepared for emerging Web services
initiatives. The DxN can provide SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol)
interfaces on your behalf so that trade partners seeking to exchange
XML documents with you, using the Internet, can do so using this
new protocol.
